Back in the 1800s Algonquin's had no designer clothes made of different fabrics and materials, but they had clothes made of different animal skins. Algonquin women wore long dresses with removable sleeves while the men wore breech-cloths and leggings. Breech-cloths are a long rectangular piece of cloth/fabric made of deer skins, but different people used different animal skins. In order to wear it, you had to tuck the fabric under your legs and then tucked again but this time into a belt. Different tribes wore them differently but the Algonquin's wore them like this, Some girls even wore these under their skirts.
